Our company
Powered by collective creativity

Wild Elk Productions was founded in 2023 by award-winning dramatist and theatre-maker Emma Kelly to develop bold, original stories about transformation, rebellion and survival.
Our work spans speculative futures, folklore and environmental themes, often realised through immersive and site-specific theatre. We are interested in how place informs narrative, and how sound, imagery, projection and live performance can transform the way an audience experiences a story.
Wild Elk works with a growing network of regular collaborators and associate artists across theatre, sound, film, projection, digital technology and immersive practice. This means we can bring together the right creative team for each project, rather than working to a fixed model.
Each project is different. We respond to the needs of the story, space, audience and creative brief, building a bespoke team and approach around the work. This might mean collaborating with a sound artist and projection designer on a site-specific performance, working with communities and oral histories, or bringing in digital and XR expertise to explore new forms of storytelling.
From theatres and heritage spaces to museums and unconventional venues, Wild Elk creates work that is intimate, provocative and alive.
