Emma Kelly is an award-winning dramatist and founder of Wild Elk Productions. Her work spans speculative futures, folklore and environmental themes, often realised through immersive and site-specific theatre.
Her work includes the award-winning screen project Fast Firming Wand, a darkly comic exploration of ageism in the entertainment industry; 2145 (Brighton Fringe, award-nominated, top 3% BBC Writersroom Open Call); and The Tower (Brighton Fishing Museum, shortlisted for the Farnham Maltings Award), as well as the site-specific What If Walls Could Speak at the Regency Town House Museum Hove.
Emma’s practice weaves sound, oral histories, projection and layered storytelling into performance, exploring climate crisis, community memory and the relationship between place and narrative. She has collaborated with heritage organisations, museums and XR technologists, creating work where archival voices, soundscapes and imagined futures meet.
With roots in performance installation, she is particularly interested in how live performance, imagery and sound can transform spaces and create immersive experiences for audiences.
A graduate of Central Saint Martins’ MA in Dramatic Writing, Emma’s work has been produced across theatre and film in the UK and internationally. Alongside her writing and producing practice, she is an experienced drama coach and mentor, working with actors and emerging creatives.
